6 Ways to Save Car Fuel
As a car user, of course Drivemate wants to know how to save fuel so that he can continue to move around without spending a lot of money. One way is of course to reduce the frequency of driving. However, this is difficult to do if the car is our main vehicle. By using it almost every day, of course the budget for buying fuel will really drain your wallet. Don't worry, this time there is an easy way to save car fuel without needing to add another engine. Come on, take a look at the following six ways!
Vehicle service regularly
Are there still Drivemates who are lazy about servicing their vehicles? It is best to eliminate the habit of postponing vehicle servicing immediately. By carrying out routine maintenance, you can maintain your vehicle's performance so that it is always optimal. The reason is, during service, all aspects of the car will be checked and cleaned, starting from the air supply, ignition, to the fuel lines. That way, the dirt on the spark plugs and coil will be removed so that the engine can rotate more smoothly. When the engine turns smoothly, fuel burns less.
Maintain stable engine rotation
It turns out that engine speed can affect vehicle fuel consumption. The higher the engine speed, the more fuel is used. The ideal level of safe engine speed is usually between 2,000 and 3,000 rpm. Therefore, try to keep the engine speed at that number, it doesn't need to be too high or low.
If it is too high, the fuel supply will increase. Meanwhile, if it is too low, then we need to press the gas pedal deeper to increase speed. Obviously this will require more fuel.
Use tires with low fuel consumption
Now there are many tires that can help minimize fuel consumption in our cars. These tires are called eco tires. One tire that has the ability to save fuel is Dunlop ENASAVE EC300+. This tire has rolling resistance thanks to the addition of special material to the tire. If the rolling resistance is low, the tire will slide more easily on the road. With the ease of tires sliding on the road, engine performance becomes more optimal and this can be an effective way to save fuel.
Make sure the air pressure in the tires is always appropriate
In addition to using the right tires, Drivemate must also ensure that the air pressure in the tires is always appropriate. If there is a lack of air, the tires can have greater resistance to rolling so the engine has to burn more fuel, making it more wasteful. Meanwhile, if the tires have too much air, the car will experience vibrations that are dangerous. Therefore, always try to maintain tire pressure so that you can control fuel combustion while ensuring the safety of the driver.
Constant driving
The next way to save car fuel is to drive constantly. The car is guaranteed to be more economical if Drivemate drives at a stable speed. For example, if Drivemate travels outside the city and takes the toll road, in this condition the car will of course be more economical than when stuck in traffic jams in the middle of the city.
At least the speed used is around 60-70 km per hour, try not to go more than 80 km per hour. Also avoid braking suddenly because it will impact the fuel supply so it will be more wasteful.
Pay attention to the use of car air conditioning
Using a car AC is also a way to save fuel. Moreover, when driving a car in Indonesia, which has a tropical climate, the AC is always turned on. However, the use of AC has a big influence on fuel consumption. Therefore, when using AC you have to be wiser. If the temperature inside the car is still tolerable, you can reduce the temperature or fan rotation level in the car AC.
That's a way to save car fuel that you can apply. To maximize the effect, don't forget to use eco tires such as Dunlop ENASAVE EC300+ which not only help save fuel, but also improve car performance.
