6 Ways to Save Gasoline for Automatic Motorbikes
Using an automatic motorbike tends to be more practical compared to a motorbike with a manual transmission. You only need to adjust the gas and brake without having to think about having to change gear at certain times. However, in reality this comfort must be paid for with the fuel used. Automatic motorbikes tend to require more fuel than manual motorbikes.
On an automatic motorbike, there are many gears installed to allow you to ride without having to change speed manually. This is different from manual transmission motorbikes where the speed is regulated by gears which also saves petrol.
Even though automatic motorbikes tend to require a lot of fuel, there are ways to save petrol on automatic motorbikes that you can do. Apart from making driving more comfortable, you can also reduce your expenses. Check out the following review to find out how to save petrol on automatic motorbikes.
Use quality oil and spark plugs
You can save motorbike petrol by using quality oil. Quality oil will reduce friction between components so that the engine can work more optimally. Apart from that, you also need to change the oil regularly to keep the motorbike performing at its best. You can change the motor oil every time the motorbike has traveled 2000 km or 3000 km.
Apart from using quality oil, you also have to use quality spark plugs. The spark plug is the ignition starter in the combustion system. Using quality spark plugs will make the fire spark easily so that combustion can run more perfectly. Also make sure the spark plugs are changed regularly.
Adjust valve density
The valve functions to regulate the mixture of air and fuel that will be burned in the engine combustion chamber. The valve density must be set in the ideal position, it must not be too narrow or loose. Usually the valve is adjusted so that the opening is narrower so that there is less fuel spray so that consumption is expected to be more economical. However, if it is too narrow, the motorbike will not have optimal power.
Adjust the carburetor float
Before gasoline enters the combustion chamber, gasoline will be stored in the carburetor. The carburetor float functions to regulate how much fuel will enter the reservoir. If the space created by the float is narrow, then less gasoline will enter. This makes fuel use even more economical.
You can lower the carburetor float slightly by 1-2 mm. Avoid setting the carburetor float too narrow because it can cause the motorbike engine to lack a gasoline supply, while opening too wide will result in wasted fuel.
Regularly maintain electrical components
The next way to save petrol on automatic motorbikes is to regularly maintain electrical components, especially for automatic motorbikes that use an injection system. If a motorbike's electrical system is disrupted, it will result in increased fuel consumption. Generally, the checking process starts with the condition of the battery, then checking the socket and the condition of the cables.
Use good quality motorbike tires
Making sure your motorbike uses quality tires is also one way to save petrol on your automatic motorbike. Quality tires will affect the performance of the motorbike engine. Use high quality tires such as Dunlop TT902. The Dunlop TT902 is designed with soft compound material which provides maximum grip and low rolling resistance so that fuel is more efficient.
Pay attention to the ignition components
It's not just electrical components that need attention, fireplace components also need attention in order to save petrol automatic motorbike, especially if your automatic motorbike still uses a carburetor. Ignition problems can affect the engine's combustion function, causing it to waste petrol. For this reason, check the fireplace components periodically.
There are six ways you can save petrol on automatic motorbikes. By paying attention to the various components of the motorbike, changing the oil and spark plugs regularly, and using quality tires such as Dunlop TT902, you can minimize the fuel consumption of your automatic motorbike.
However, not only that, this maintenance can also make your driving experience more comfortable due to maximum engine performance. Also balance this by using good quality tires such as Dunlop TT902, which also provide extra security for you because the tires are made with transverse grooves to increase driving stability and anti-slip when cornering.
