Practical ways to prevent moldy car windows
Don't let the car windows get moldy. Apart from disturbing aesthetics, mold on car windows can be dangerous for driving safety. Therefore, it is very important to know ways to practically prevent the presence of car windshield mold.
Car windshield mold is often found in Indonesia. Mold grows and sticks to the glass due to extreme weather changes. For example, after being exposed to water, the car window is exposed to hot sunlight. If you don't clean it immediately, mold will gradually grow there.
What is the impact? Drivers will experience vision problems when there is mold on the car window. This really feels like when the rain comes. The car window will not be as clear as possible even if you use wipers.
When it rains, the wipers cannot sweep the water optimally. Because the fungus prevents the wiper from discharging water, the view will be disturbed. If that happens, it will certainly be very dangerous for driving safety.
Apart from that, the presence of mold will also interfere with the driver's vision at night. The fungus will glow the light coming from other vehicles. As a result, the driver feels dazzled and his vision cannot be optimal. Again, this has a negative impact on traffic safety.
Not to mention the reduced aesthetic effect. Car windows that have fungus growing on them will look dull, not clear and lack luster. This makes the beauty of the car glass clearly diminish.
To prevent mold from growing on the car window, drivers can do the following simple things. Practicing this can reduce the risk of car windows growing mold. What are they?
Park the car in a shady area
Mold can grow on car windows that are frequently exposed to sunlight. Especially if the exposure occurs after the car is exposed to water and is not cleaned immediately. Mold will be present there in abundance.
For this reason, to prevent mold from growing on the glass, there is no harm in parking the car in a shady area. Look for a place to park the car that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
This is useful for preventing fungal growth. This is because mold will quickly appear on car windows that are often exposed to the heat of the sun.
Routinely Clean the Glass
Mold can grow on dirty car windows. Therefore, be diligent in cleaning your car windows so that mold doesn't grow.
Take a special cloth and clean the car windows regularly. Cleaning can be done after the car is exposed to water or dirt. Immediately dry the water from the car window or remove dirt stuck to the glass.
Car owners can use soda water to clean it. Pour some sparkling water onto a dry cloth to gently wipe the moldy area of the glass. Do this step continuously so that the fungus appears to be reduced or gone.
Don't forget to finish by drying. Use a clean cloth and then wipe the glass until it is completely dry. This activity can always be done regularly every now and then so that mold doesn't grow on the car window.
Use Glass Cleaning Fluid
There's no harm in spending more money to fill the glass cleaning fluid in the wipers with special materials. Choose a special glass cleaning fluid rather than ordinary water. This liquid usually contains nitrogen and hydrogen compounds which are effective for removing mold and spots on glass.
Use this liquid when the car window is dirty. Just activate the wiper and the liquid will spray automatically. However, a similar liquid can also be used to clean other areas of the glass so that mold does not grow.
This is a practical way to prevent moldy car windows. However, to make your car safer and more comfortable to drive, make sure you use quality tires from Dunlop. Dunlop tires will tread the road well and the car feels smooth.
