DUNLOP Motorsport ready for the 24h highlight at the Nürburgring

For DUNLOP Motorsport, the highlight of the season is fast approaching: With the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring taking place from May 14 to 17, 2026, one of the most prestigious endurance races of the year is just around the corner. At the legendary “Green Hell,” the team will field a Porsche 911 GT3 R with start number 17, which is competing ay the Eifel classic for the first time this year.

Four experienced drivers will share the black-and-yellow GT3 race car: the two Frenchmen Julien Andlauer and Dorian Boccolacci, the Belgian Alessio Picariello and Nordschleife local and expert Nico Menzel. Together, the quartet combines international GT experience, track knowledge and consistent performance at the highest level.

Preparations for the 24h race were intensive and insightful. The team’s appearances in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series provided important data and insights. Following a weather-related postponement of the season opener, the team secured a top-10 finish in the overall standings in its very first race.

The ongoing setup work on the Porsche 911 GT3 R, combined with the insights gained regarding the DUNLOP tyres, form a solid foundation for the 24h race. That’s crucial at the Nürburgring Nordschleife, where conditions such as weather, grip and traffic are constantly changing, delivering consistency, precision and strategic discipline are paramount.

The driver lineup brings these strengths to the table: Julien Andlauer impresses with his extensive experience in international GT and prototype programmes. Dorian Boccolacci and Alessio Picariello have both already proven their skills on the Nordschleife on multiple occasions and are now considered established figures in GT3 racing. Rounding out the lineup is Nico Menzel, a proven Nordschleife specialist with a deep understanding of the track.

Other teams relying on DUNLOP tyres include Saugmotoren Motorsport with the iconic #36 BMW Z4 E89 (EVO 2013), driven by, among others, well-known Nordschleife specialists Ralf Schall and Christian Scherer. BLACK FALCON Team FANATEC, in cooperation with Gran Turismo, will be fielding the #632 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992.1). Behind the wheel will be veteran driver Manuel Metzger, YouTuber Misha Charoudin and Gran Turismo sim racers and content creators Steve Brown and Jimmy Broadbent.

There’s plenty in store for fans off the track as well: an interactive motorsports experience awaits visitors in the Boulevard. Featuring Gran Turismo simulators, fans will have the opportunity to take a virtual lap on the legendary Nordschleife themselves. Another highlight at the booth is a historic Porsche 962 C from the Porsche Museum. The car competed in all five Supercup races in 1987 and won the championship title.

The ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring kicks off on Saturday, May 16, at 3:00 p.m CET. Fans unable to attend in person can watch it live via stream on the official platform and on TV on RTL Nitro.
