Get to know the presence of rubber in cars and its function
If you look closely, there is a lot of rubber in several parts of the car. This rubber is included as a vehicle component. However, its existence is often not noticed. In fact, just like other vehicle components, the function and use of rubber in cars is vital.
The rubber is scattered in various parts. Some are on windows, decks, and even roofs. Each part has different functions and uses. Therefore, it is very important to take care of it.
Don't let the rubber wear out and become brittle. Later the ability to carry out its functions will decrease. Cars will also be affected.
So, take the time to check the condition of the rubber on all parts of the car. Usually, after five years, the rubber must be replaced. Rubber loses its elasticity and hardens so that it breaks or breaks easily due to age and changing weather.
So, where is the rubber in cars? Here are some of them.
Door and Body Rubber
The rubber in this section is often referred to as balloon rubber. The term arose due to its distinctive shape. Ordinary car door and body rubber is shaped like a water hose with a hole in the middle that attaches to the car.
Even though it looks unimportant, door rubber and car body have a vital function. This rubber is useful for keeping water from outside from entering the cabin and preventing air or wind from bringing in dust. Apart from that, this rubber has a role in dampening door vibrations, so it doesn't make noise.
Rubber Channel
Rubber Channel is rubber that is between the glass and the car body. This rubber is often referred to as Weather Strip. Just like door and car body rubber, the function of Channel rubber is also very vital.
Located in the gap between the glass and the frame, the rubber channel functions to keep water and dust from entering the car cabin. In addition, Channel rubber also helps smooth and straighten the up and down movement of the glass. This way the glass will move straight and there will be no creaks when it is raised or lowered.
More important than that, Channel rubber plays a big role in comfort in the car cabin. This rubber is useful for dampening glass vibrations when the car is moving and holding the top of the glass when it is in the closed position. Thanks to that, the glass will not sway when the car is moving.
Rubber Deck
As the name suggests, this rubber is on the car deck. People also usually call it Floor Hole Cover. Unlike the body and door rubber and channel rubber, the deck rubber is not in the form of a hose. This rubber is more like a coin.
The function of the rubber deck is to repel water and dirt on the deck. With it, the car can be cleaned easily. Understandably, the rubber deck is easy to install or remove.
Rubber Seams
The rubber seam is located between the car windows. Its position clamps the part of the car window that can go up and down. Some are on the outside, but some are on the inside of the car window.
Its presence there is closely related to the function of rubber for cars. The rubber seams are useful for keeping the power window moving smoothly. Thanks to this rubber, the glass can be moved without annoying creaking sounds.
Now you understand the function and use of rubber in cars. Pay attention to all of that. Then, so that the car drives safely and comfortably, use quality tires from Dunlop. Dunlop tires guarantee the traction and softness of the tires on the road.
