Equipment that must be in the car
A safe and comfortable trip cannot be separated from good preparation. One thing that must be prepared is the presence of various vital tools. There are a number of equipment that must be in the car.
These various pieces of equipment are very important. Whether it supports road safety, helps when an incident occurs, or is useful when the vehicle is having problems. Therefore, various tools must always be prepared in the car.
What equipment should be in the car? Here are the recommendations.
Jack
A jack is a vital piece of equipment that must be in a car. Having a jack will be very useful when an emergency occurs. When you need to change a tire while traveling, a jack is very necessary. Likewise when there is a problem under the car. A jack can be used. Then if the car falls off the road, a jack will be useful.
As vital as its use is, the jack is expected to always be kept in the car. Drivers can use it at any time when needed.
First Aid Kit
No one would want to have an accident. However, if that happens, an Accident First Aid (P3K) kit will be very helpful. A first aid kit is one of the equipment that must be in the car. Its existence is very important, so it is usually provided by the car manufacturer from the first time the car is purchased.
Make sure there is always a first aid kit in the car. Fill it with crucial needs in an emergency such as bandages, cotton, antiseptic medicine, scissors, and various other types of medicine. However, take the time to check the expiration date once in a while so that it can still be used.
Wheel Lock & Tool Set
The wheel wrench and tool set must also be put in the car. This tool will be very helpful when an incident occurs. A wheel wrench is required to change tires. Meanwhile, the various types of equipment in the tool set are useful when you want to repair car damage.
The moment when you need it cannot be determined. However, precisely because of this, wheel locks and tool sets are needed when emergencies arise. Jumper Cables Battery problems are one of the most common problems in cars. If the battery has a problem, the car will not be able to start. Like it or not, the car has to be left behind.
However, if you have jumper cables in the car, the conditions may be different. Just connect the jumper cable from the car battery to the battery of another vehicle. The car will start again. At that time the driver can take it to a repair shop for repairs or have the opportunity to look for a new battery at the nearest shop.
Safety Triangle
When an emergency occurs, the car must pull over and stop on the side of the road. In such conditions, safety triangles must be installed at the rear and front of the car. Its presence is a sign to other vehicles that there is a problematic vehicle parked.
The safety triangle is designed to provide a warning. The material and color are easy to see and can emit light at night. Very useful for the safety of vehicles that stop in an emergency.
Fire Extinguisher
Include a fire extinguisher on the list of equipment that must be in the car. This tool will be very useful if a fire occurs in the car. Don't think about the potential for fire in a small car. The opportunity is still there. Not only in old cars, new vehicles can also experience this if there is a short circuit in the car's electricity. So, as a precaution, provide a fire extinguisher in the car.
Glass Breaker
A glass breaker will be useful when you have to get out of the vehicle without being able to get through the door. This could happen because the doors and windows are jammed. In order to get out, like it or not, the glass has to be broken. In such conditions, a glass breaker will be very useful. So, always have it ready in the car.
